This policy explains what personal data the mavrangelidis.eu website collects, why we use it and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679). It applies to this website only.

2. What data we collect and why
- Online appointment booking: full name, email, phone, the date and time you choose. We use them to arrange the meeting and to email you about its confirmation, rescheduling or cancellation. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Contact by email, phone, WhatsApp, Viber or Telegram: the data you send us, to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) GDPR). Messaging apps operate under their providers’ own privacy policies.
- Visitor statistics (Google Analytics 4) — only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): which pages are viewed, where visitors come from, device and browser type, approximate location. Without consent, no Google Analytics cookies are stored on your device. Google Analytics advertising features are disabled.
- Technical data: on every visit the hosting provider (Google Firebase) processes your IP address, browser type and request time to deliver the pages and protect the site against abuse (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- The map on the Contact page is loaded from Google Maps. Google receives your IP address and may use its own cookies under the Google Privacy Policy.
3. Cookies and browser storage
The site stores in your browser only what it needs to work, and statistics cookies only after your consent:
- cookie_consent (browser storage) — your choice in the cookie banner; necessary for the site to work.
- preferred_language (browser storage) — the site language you chose; necessary for the site to work.
- _ga and _ga_YQR8S2DW12 (Google Analytics cookies) — distinguish visitors in the statistics; only after consent, kept for up to 2 years.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
4. Who receives the data
We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising. Data is processed only by providers the site cannot work without:
- Google — website hosting and server functions (Firebase), the appointment request database (Cloud Firestore), sending emails (Gmail), statistics (Google Analytics), the map (Google Maps).
The appointment request database is hosted on Google servers in the USA. Transfers to the USA are based on the European Commission adequacy decision (EU–US Data Privacy Framework, in which Google LLC participates) and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. How long we keep data
- Appointment requests and correspondence — as long as needed to hold the meeting and answer your request; then deleted unless the law or providing our services to you requires keeping them longer.
- Google Analytics statistics — up to 14 months.
- Technical server logs — for a limited period set by the hosting provider.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access your data and receive a copy;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased;
- restrict processing;
- receive your data in a machine-readable format (portability);
- object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Greek supervisory authority, the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
7. Security
The site is served only over a secure HTTPS connection. Only the accounting office can access appointment requests, protected by a password.
8. Children
The site is not intended for persons under 15, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when the site’s features change. The current version is always published on this page, with the date of the last update at the top.
